Promptcraft for Business Teams

If you walk away with five patterns, you will get 3x better results from any LLM.

1. Role + audience + format

"Act as a senior CFO. Explain X to a non-finance founder. Reply in 3 bullets."

2. Examples beat instructions

Show 2-3 examples of what good looks like. Models pattern-match better than they follow rules.

3. Constrain the answer

"Reply in under 120 words. No marketing language. Cite a number." Models comply.

4. Ask for the reasoning, then the answer

"First list the assumptions you'll make. Then answer." Catches a lot of hallucinations.

5. Iterate with diffs, not rewrites

"Keep everything the same, but make point 2 more specific." Cheaper, faster, more controllable.

These five take 30 minutes to teach. Roll them out across a team and watch productivity move.
